Internal medicine

Internal Medicine is a field of veterinary specialities concerned with issues related to the dysfunction of internal organs such as (including but not limited to) the liver, kidneys, adrenal glands etc., which may lead to metabolic and endocrinological diseases such as:

• • Endocrinological disorders (hyper/hypothyroidism, diabetes mellitus / insipidus, hyperadrenocorticism, Addison's disease and pancreatic diseases)
  • Gastrointestinal problems
  • Respiratory tract disorders
  • Pathologies of the urological tract
  • Bacterial, viral, parasitic or protozoal infections
  • Interpretation of laboratory results
